Sam is a minor character in the Netflix sitcom Alexa & Katie. He is the grandfather of Alexa and Lucas Mendoza, the father of Lori Mendoza and the husband of Loretta. He also has a parrot whom he considers his own son. He and his wife don't see his daughter's family very often.
